Synopsis: North Ireland. Docudrama on the tragic events that occurred in Londonderry on Sunday 30 January 1972. On that day British soldiers fired at unarmed civilians taking part in a demonstration: fourteen people died and more than thirty were injured. The protesters were protesting against a British Government decree authorizing the arrest and imprisonment without trial of those suspected of belonging to the IRA. The “Bloody Sunday” was crucial for Northern Ireland because it caused the conflict to escalate, encouraged many young people to join the IRA and was the cause of 25 years of violence. Work of a choral character in which the character of Ivan Cooper stands out, an idealist who led the civil rights movement and shared Martin Luther King’s dream of achieving peaceful change.
