Synopsis: Civil War (1861-1865). Adaptation of the homonymous novel by Louise May Alcott. While her father is at war, four young sisters of very different characters carry out an apprenticeship, sometimes painful, sometimes fascinating, of life and love. As they grow, they leave the family home one by one to marry and create their own family. Only Jo stays at home, who wants to be a writer, and to achieve this she moves to New York, where she, thanks to her tenacity and effort, manages to publish her first work.
Review: Adaptation of the famous novel by Louise May Alcott. Beth, Meg, Jo and Amy are four sisters of very different characters, who have to live the passage from childhood to maturity during the absence of their father due to the war and in a difficult economic situation. Dreams, hardships and, of course, love await you throughout this solid, entertaining, and sweet adaptation of Alcott’s famous novel. Very charming, especially for its humorous touches and its great cast, which includes several of the best Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer actresses of the time.
