Review: Four young men growing up in the 1920’s: “Lucky” Luciano (Christian Slater), Meyer Lansky (Patrick Dempsey), “Bugsy” Siegel (Richard Grieco) and Frank Costello (Costas Mandylor) are mobsters. Starting from the bottom and despite their diverse ethic background. Their bond leads them to the top of the underworld.

Directed by Michael Karbelnikoff (The Last Ride) made an sometimes entertaining, fast-paced film of the rise of organized crime in America. Since this film is inspired by a true story. Slater & Dempsey gives it their best and while Grieco & Mandylor have little to do in this film. The film’s colorful supporting cast like Oscar-Winner:F. Murray Abraham, Lara Flynn Boyle, Christopher Penn, Micheal Gambon, Nicholas Sadler and Oscar-Winner:The late Anthony Quinn helps. This film has plenty of violent action and it has certain class. The highlight is the superb production designs by Richard Sylbert. Screenplay by Michael Mahern and Nicolas Kazan (Bicentennial Man, Enough, Fallen). From a story by Mahern.
