Synopsis: Phoebe (Jean Arthur) transforms a sad warehouse on her own into what is now known as Tucson, Arizona, the pride of the American West. There she builds her ranch, which will soon be the largest in the territory. Newly arrived in town, Peter Muncie (William Holden) begins working on Phoebe’s property, establishing a relationship between them that culminates in wedding plans. But the success of Phoebe’s business does not take long to generate envy and she crosses the path of her Jefferson Carteret (Warren William), a neighbor who planet to swindle Phoebe and murder Peter on her wedding day.
